12 July as Malala Day 2023
- The United Nations(UN) has decided observe 12th July as Malala Day every year. it aims to commemorate the birthday of Malala Yousafzai, who is a Pakistani activist and the youngest recipient of the Nobel prize for peace. in the year 2013, it was the first time when this day was celebrated. HarperCollins India issued a book that highlights on the challenges faced by 25 brave girls for their rights to education.

Who is Malala Yousafzai:
- Malala was emerged as an international icon for girl’s education who was shoted by Taliban in 2012, because she arised voice to get rights for girl’s education in Pakistan.
- in the year 2013, Malala set up Malala funds with the support of her father. and created awareness about the social and economic impacts of Girls education in the Pakisthan.
- the Secretary General António Guterres appointed her as the United Nations Messenger of Peace in April 2017. she made a lot of efforts to create awareness on the importance of girl’s education.
- In the last June 2020, she has finished degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
