To find solutions for dispute between MeitY and Niti Aayog over AI mission, a panel by Government

• The center Govt has made a committee to solve differences between the Niti Aayog and the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) over the mission of its ambitious artificial intelligence.
• This committee would be chaired by principal scientific advisor K VijayRaghavan and the secretary in the department of science and technology, the CEO of Niti Aayog and secretary of MeitY will represent committee.
• The committee has been give a task to remove duplication of work between various government arms. however, the official said that agencies have different role to fast-track the implementation of the AI mission.
• Niti Aayog has got approval from the expenditure finance committee (EFC) for a budget of Rs 7000 crore. but, MeitY did send a distinct budget of Rs 400 crore to establish a national AI programme from the EFC.

First-ever Literature Festival will begin from 29 Oct in Ladakh

• The first time Ladakh Literature Festival (LLF) is planned to organize between 29 Oct and 31 Oct.
• The beginning of The Ladakh Literature Festival, a festival of literature, culture and art, will be from Jammu and Kashmir state and the ending of this festival will be done in the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh.

• on drink from tap mission , the Odisha govt has signed a mou with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to help in providing quality drinking water to every urban household in the Odisha state.
• for implementation of the drink from tap program, UNICEF will help in providing technical cooperation to the government of Odisha. which has target to provide piped quality drinking water supply each and every household on a 24-hour basis to 1.20 lakh people in first phase.
• The mission will be accomplished by March 2020 in five the areas of Bhubaneswar and two areas of Puri.
