23-year-old Akash has got new achievement of being 66th Grandmaster of India. On 5th July 2020, Akash earned his 3rd Grandmaster norm in the National senior chess championship in Majhitar (Sikkim).
however, his rating has dropped from Elo mark of 2500. to reach a rating, Akash has played five tournaments in the world in the last three months. Akash has played in Wijk Aan Zee (The Netherlands), Copenhagen (Denmark),Prague and Liberec (Czech Republic).
