The Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholars offer fundamental financial support to students of their ethnic demographic annually. Students who are at or below the poverty bracket within America who are moving into secondary education can apply for this program.
The scholarship covers a one-time award of $2,500 or a multi-year award of $20,000 for undergraduate-level studies and students who have a GED or a minimum GPA of 2.70.

Eligibility Criteria

Follow the requirements for applying for the MTU Presidential Scholars Program:
- Must describe your ethnicity, heritage, or ancestry about the countries, territories, or lands in Asia or the Pacific Islands
- Must be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States, Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau.
- Must be enrolling or continuing as a degree-seeking undergraduate student in a U.S.-accredited college or university in Fall 2024.
- Must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted), or equivalent, or a GED.
- Eligible Grade: High School Graduate – Undergraduate
- Geographic Eligibility: Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands, United States
