The University of Auckland offers the Colombo Plan Scholarship to international students who want to study undergraduate or postgraduate engineering programs. The program is availed by students who are citizens of Colombo Plan member countries. Students will be selected based on their academic record, financial need, social engagement and leadership potential.
- The recipient will receive $3000 towards their tuition fees.
- Only one person can get the award each year.
- The members of the Faculty of Engineering select the recipient.

Eligibility Criteria
Students enrolled in the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Engineering must follow the requirements.
- A student who has paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrolment in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or any postgraduate degree programme in the Faculty of Engineering.
- The Scholarship will be awarded to an international student who is a citizen of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the United States of America and Vietnam. - The selection will be based on academic merit, financial need, community activities, communication skills, leadership potential and desire to contribute positively to the engineering profession.

Application Process
Every year, applications can be submitted in May and close by July. The application must be made to the Scholarships Office during the 6 weeks
