C-DOT signed a joint development agreement with various industry partners for a 5G radio access network solution
The Center for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the premier telecom R&D center of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and industry partners Signaltron Systems, Lekha Wireless Solutions, Sooktha Consulting and others signed a consortium agreement in July 2023. The Mou will aim to promote the joint development of a distributed 5G radio-type systematic access network solution and the development of radio communication products.
Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023
The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 will be introduced in the Lok Sabha. The Bill will replace the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 which was promulgated in May 2023. The Bill will amend the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991.

China and Pakistan signed 6 agreements to enhance and accelerate cooperation under CPEC.
China and Pakistan signed six major bilateral agreements in order to further accelerate and expand existing cooperation under the multi-billion US-dollar CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) project. CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) project will be a 3,000-km long line of massive infrastructure projects connecting China’s northwestern Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and Gwadar Port in Pakistan’s western province of Balochistan.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao flagged off a fleet of 466 new vehicles with advanced facilities in Hyderabad, aimed at strengthening the medical and health infrastructure in the state. The vehicles are implied for various services including the ‘108’ (One not Eight) emergency ambulance service, the ‘102’ (One not Two) Amma Vodi service which caters to pregnant women, and Hearse vehicles.

Australian Open Badminton tournament starts in Sydney
The Australian Open Badminton tournament was started in Sydney on August 1st, 2023. On the first day, Indian pair Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly advanced to the second round of the Women’s Doubles event. The Indian pair defeated the Canadian combination of Catherine Choi and Josephine Wu 21-16, 21-17 in the Round of 32.
DD Sports to start State Final Rounds of Fit India Quiz 2022
DD Sports will launch the State Final Rounds of Fit India Quiz 2022 starting on August 2nd, 2023. Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry said, a total of 36 episodes will be telecasted, one for each State. The episodes will be aired at 11 AM each day, with the Madhya Pradesh finals being scheduled as the first episode. The episodes will also be uploaded on Prasar Bharati Sports YouTube Channel.
