Flag Day, or ‘Día de la Bandera’ is celebrated on February 24 every year in Mexico. The flag represents an eagle atop a cactus, eating a snake. This fascinating emblem is to sign from the gods. The day is a sign of solidarity and appreciation for all the Mexican culture contributes.
History
In 1937, General Lazaro Cardenas, the then-President of Mexico first established Día de la Bandera (Flag Day). In 1935, Benito Ramirez, an employee of the Bank of Mexico formed a special honor guard to celebrate the Mexican flag.
