Government to Promote Drone use in Agriculture Under ‘Sub-Mission on Agriculture Mechanization’ – The centre has planned to promote the use in Agriculture – Financial Support Being Extended Under ‘Sub-Mission on Agriculture Mechanization’.
- With this regard, the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has issued guidelines to make drone technology affordable to the stakeholders to promote precision farming in India.
- Govt of India will offer a 40-100 per cent subsidy to popularise drone in agriculture and Maximum subsidy will be Rs 10 lakh.
