Grandma Day 2024: History and Significance
Grandma’s and Grandpa’s Day are two different holidays. Grandma’s Day is observed on January 21 and Grandpa’s Day takes place on January 22.
In 1964, “Kobieta I Życie” magazine created Grandma’s Day and the day kicked off to grow in popularity the following year when the “Express Poznański” newspaper. The “Express Wieczorny” newspaper entered the festivities and Grandma’s Day became a popular holiday among the Polish.
