Isro successfully launches EOS-04 earth observation satellite – The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched its earth observation satellite EOS-4 and two co-passenger technology demonstrator and scientific satellites on February 14th, 2022.
- The EOS-4 was launched from onboard the launch vehicle PSLV-C52 rocket from the First Launch Pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-04)
- EOS-4 is a radar imaging satellite and it has the capability to provide high-quality images under all weather conditions.
- EOS-4 will help in capturing images for agriculture, forestry, flood mapping, soil moisture and hydrology.
- The satellite has a mission life of 10 years.
- It is a 1,700kg weight.
