Justice Rao was Sworn In As Himachal Pradesh High Court CJ – Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ramachandra Rao officially becomes the 28th Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla administered the oath of office to Justice Rao during a ceremony held at the Raj Bhawan. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was also present at the event. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, read out the Warrant of Appointment issued by the President of India in both Hindi and English languages.
Who is Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ramachandra Rao
- Justice M S Ramachandra Rao was born on August 7, 1966, in Hyderabad.
- He completed his BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics from Bhavans New Science College, Osmania, and LL.B from University College of Law, Osmania University Hyderabad in 1989.
- His father’s name is M Jagannadha Rao who is a former Supreme Court judge, who served as the Chairman of the Law Commission of India.
- In September 1989, Justice Rao started his legal career as an Advocate.
- In 1991, He pursued an LL.M. degree from the University of Cambridge, UK.
- He was honoured with prestigious scholarships such as the Cambridge Commonwealth Scholarship, the Bank of Credit and Commerce International Scholarship, and the Pegasus Scholarship awarded by the Scholarship Trust, London.
- In June 2012, Justice M S Ramachandra Rao was elected as a Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.
- Later, He played the role of the Chief Justice for the State of Telangana from August 31, 2021.
- Further, he served as a Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
- His grandfather was also a judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh from 1960 to 1961.
