- In February 2019, the Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana was given approval from the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.
- The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) managed and controlled both schemes.
- Khadi Vikas Yojana historically included of Market Promotion and Development Assistance (MPDA), Interest Subsidy Eligibility Certificate (ISEC), Aam Admi Bima Yojana, and Khadi Grant, aimed at strengthening the poor infrastructure of the Khadi Industry.
- On the other hand, Gramodyog Vikas Yojana aims to focus on funding village industries through KVIC.
- The Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana contains a new component named Rozgar Yukt Gaon, which functions alongside the existing mix.
