Every year, Legal Assistant Day is marked annually on March 14. The main objective of the day is to honor workers who perform legal research and a variety of other tasks that enable law offices to operate. Legal assistants can assist lawyers in many fields, such as corporate law, criminal law, immigration, and litigation.
History
In 1973, The National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) conducted seminars and workshops for those who assisted lawyers in law firms. the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (N.F.P.A.) created a code of conduct for paralegals and established a task force that will credential standards.
