National Arkansas Day is observed on January 11 every year. In 1836, Arkansas was created and is the 25th state to be added to the Federation. Arkansas is also known as the Wonder State or Natural State due to its numerous parks and water bodies, situated around the Mississippi River.

History
Arkansas word is from the word ‘acansaw,’ and its territory was initially colonized by native tribes Osage, Caddo, and Quapaw. In 1541, the first European explorer was the Spaniard Hernando de Soto who reached this place. The land was analyzed by Frenchmen.
