Western Oklahoma State College, a public institution in Oklahoma offers the scholarship. Each year, the institution gives the Presidential Academic Scholarships as part of its financial aid program to reduce the financial costs of its programs to eligible students.
This scholarship will be granted to first-time entering freshmen with ACT scores of 23 or higher. To carry over four semesters, the student must enroll in and complete at least 12 hours each semester and maintain a 3.00 Grade Point Average. The total amount of awards is as follows:
- ACT 28 and above – Total amount of award will be $2,400. ($600 each semester)
- ACT 26 to 27 – Total amount of award will be $2,000. ($500 each semester)
- ACT 23 to 25 – Total amount of award will be $1,600. ($400 each semester)

Eligibility Criteria

Selection Process
All applications will be considered based on their ACT scores. An ACT score of 24 means you have performed better than 74% of students. A score of 28 means that you have performed better than 88% of students, and a score of 30 means you’ve scored better than 93% of students.
