Printing Ink Day – History
The first man-made ink was most likely invented in Egypt almost 4,500 years ago. The ink was composed by mixing carbon suspensions in water with additives like egg albumen and natural gums. After that, the Chinese and Egyptians simultaneously developed inks made from similar materials during the 2500 B.C.
