In 1988, The Society for American Archaeology Scholarship endowment fund was established, aimed at simultaneously encouraging positive interactions and relationships. The external grants, silent auctions, and individual donations support the scholarships. Every year, The SAA Native American Graduate Archaeology Scholarship provides one award for $10,000.
The recipient will get a $10,000 award to help cover their course fees. For 2024, the award covers funding including tuition, travel, food, housing, books, supplies, equipment, family and dependent care, medical expenses, online archival research costs, and archaeology-related analysis costs.
