Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan – Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is the Government of India’s flagship programme that aims to achieve Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) in a time-bound manner, as mandated by the 86th amendment to the Constitution of India make ensure free and compulsory Education to the Children of 6-14 years age group, a Fundamental Right.

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan: Objectives
- By 2003 all should be in school.
- Completion of 5 years of primary education by 2007 and 8 years of schooling by 2010.
- Emphasizing on satisfactory quality and education for life.
- Eliminate all gender and social differences at the primary level by 2007 and at the elementary level by 2010.
