SC Judge AR Lakshmanan passed away
- The Ex-Supreme Court (SC) judge Shri AR Lakshmanan has passed away at the age of 78. he was suffering from age-related ailments.
- He served between 20th December 2002 and 21st March 2007.

- after serving as a judge he was chosen as the Chairman of the Eighteenth Law Commission of India.
- He has also served as a judge at the Madras High Court and the Kerala High Court.
- Apart from this, he served as chief justice of the Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan High Courts during his career.
