BOB and Nainital Bank launched a Co-branded contactless RuPay credit card

Bank of Baroda and Nainital Bank launched Nainital Bank – BoB co-branded Contactless RuPay Credit Card. The card has been designed to reward customers for everyday spending categories like grocery and departmental stores. it is being launched in the centenary year of Nainital Bank.

  • Nainital Bank – BoB RuPay Contactless Credit Card Cardholders can earn 5X i.e. 5 reward points (per Rs. 100 spent) for spending on grocery, departmental stores and movies.
  • Users can also earn 1 reward point per Rs. 100 spent for all other spends.
  • cardholders will also benefit from a 1% Fuel Surcharge Waiver on fuel purchases.
  • The card will be offered at zero joining fee and a nominal annual fee that is waived on spends of Rs. 25,000 per year.

UN Ocean Conference 2022: Dr Jitendra Singh will Join

the Minister of State for the Government of India Dr Jitendra Singh has left India for Portugal to attend the Lisbon UN Ocean Conference 2022. UN Ocean Conference 2022 will be based on Science and Innovation for the implementation of Goal 14: Stock taking, Partnerships and Solutions.

  • The Ocean Conference is to be co-hosted by the Governments of Kenya and Portugal.
  • The five-day UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon, Portugal has drawn senior officials and scientists from more than 120 countries.
  • Dr Jitendra Singh will join the five-day conference and deliver a keynote address from India on the theme “Scaling up ocean action based on science and innovation for the implementation of goal 14: stocktaking, partnerships and solutions”.

IAF to join Egyptian Air Force in Tactical Leadership Program

Indian Air Force will participate in Tactical Leadership Programme at Egyptian Air Force Weapon School from 24 June to 24 July 22 in Egypt (Cairo west Airbase) with three Su-30MKI aircraft, two C-17 aircraft and 57 IAF personnel (including C-17 contingent).

  • Tactical Leadership Programme is a unique exercise with Air assets in a Large Force Engagement environment, simulating various conflict scenarios.
  • It aims to enhance defence cooperation between the two countries and exchange best practices. 
  • It will provide a unique opportunity to showcase the reach and capability of the IAF.

Anil Khanna named as the acting President of IOA

Anil Khanna has been appointed the acting President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), and will replace Narinder Dhruv Batra. Narinder Dhruv Batra cannot continue as the President of the IOA ordered by the Delhi High Court “in a contempt proceeding”, a month after it asked him to relinquish the top job.

  • A contempt petition was filed by Olympian and hockey World Cup winner Aslam Sher Khan.
  • A vacation bench of Justice Dinesh Sharma passed the order.
