Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Centre inaugurated at Khajuraho
On 26th March 2021, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge) and Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh inaugurated the ‘Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Centre at Khajuraho.

7th annual summit of NATHEALTH

A Guidance Note on Joint Action Plan for Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination, a Special Edition of Tribal Ministry’s Publication ‘ALEKH’ on TB, and a document on Tribal Tuberculosis (TB) Initiative was also published during the event.

S&P estimates India’s FY22 GDP growth forecast to 11%
S&P Global Ratings has estimated that India’ growth forecast for the financial year 2021-22 to 11%. prior to this, India’ growth was estimated to be 10%.

Soma Mondal appointed as Chairperson of SCOPE
The chairperson of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Soma Mondal has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE).
- Mondal will serve for a period of two-years.

India tops the medals tally with 15 gold, 9 silver & 6 bronze in ISSF Shooting World Cup
India has ended at the top of the medals table at the 2021 ISSF World Cup. the ISSF World Cup 2021 was conducted between 18 March 2021 and 29 March 2021 at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.
- In the ISSF World Cup, Indian players achieved 30 medals including 15 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze.
- USA and Italy got 2nd and 3rd place with 8 and 4 medals respectively.

Former RBI Deputy Governor KC Chakrabarty passes away
The Former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) KC Chakrabarty has passed away at the age of 68.
- He began his career as a banker with the Bank of Baroda.
- He served as the deputy governor of the central bank between 15 June 2009 and 25 April 2014.
- Along with it, he also served as the chairman and managing director (CMD) of Punjab National Bank between 2007 and 2009 and CMD of Indian Bank between 2005 and 2007.
Noted Odissi dancer Laxmipriya Mohapatra passes away
The famous Odissi dancer Laxmipriya Mohapatra has taken her last breath at age of 86. Laxmipriya Mohapatra was the wife of legendary classical dancer Kelucharan Mohapatra.
- In 1947, Mohapatra began her dancing career at the Annapurna Theatre in Puri.
- She has played her roles in four Odia movies.
- She was an expert in Odissi and Gotipua dance forms.
Noted journalist and author Anil Dharker died at 74
Noted journalist and author Anil Dharker has taken his last breath at the age of 74.
- He was the editor of a variety of publications.
- He was also a columnist for The Indian Express newspaper.
- Dharker authored ‘The Romance Of Salt’, a book on Mahatma Gandhi’s Dandi March.
