14 Tiger Reserves of India get Global Conservation Assured Tiger Standards (CA|TS) Recognition
On 29th July 2021, Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav has announced that 14 tiger reserves in India have got accreditation of the Global Conservation Assured Tiger Standards (CA|TS).
The 14 tiger reserves, which have been accredited, are
- Manas, Kaziranga, and Oran – Assam
- Satpura, Panna and Kanha – Madhya Pradesh
- Dudhwa – Uttar Pradesh
- Pench – Maharashtra
- Sunderbans – West Bengal
- Valmiki Nagar – Bihar
- Parambikulam – Kerala
- Mudumalai and Annamalai – Tamil Nadu
- Bandipur – Karnataka
Intel launches AI For All drive with Ministry of Education and CBSE
Chipmaker company Intel has launched the initiative called ‘AI For All’ in the collaboration of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Ministry of Education. the main purpose of the ‘AI For All’ initiative is to create awareness and a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) among everyone in India.
- Intel has set a target to introduce AI to 1 million citizens in its first year through ‘AI For All’.
What is ‘AI For All’ drive
- The ‘AI For All’ is a 4-hour and self-paced online learning program.
- it helps in explaining AI in an easy and inclusive manner.
- The program is applicable to everyone like students, or even a stay-at-home parent, a professional in any field, or even a senior citizen.
AI For All Sections
The course has been divided into two sections,
- AI Awareness (1.5 hours)
- AI Appreciation (2.5 hours).
Section 1: AI Aware
- Defines what is Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Talks about Human Intelligence
- Helps to differentiate AI and non-AI machines, and Unravel popular misconceptions around the technology.
Section 2: AI Appreciate
- Explains the different domains of AI, their impact on various industries
- Elaborates about the principles of responsible AI and AI ethics

36th edition of CORPAT between India and Indonesia begins in Indian Ocean
Indian Naval Ship (INS) Saryu has conducted Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) with Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Bung Tomo between July 30 and July 31, 2021. coordinated patrol aims to bolster maritime cooperation between the two navies.
- the exercise was will be conducted as a ‘non-contact, at sea only’ exercise in view of Covid-19 Disease. the exercise will mark the high degree of mutual trust, confidence, synergy, and cooperation between navies.
Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) Exercise:
- India and Indonesia have been conducting Coordinated Patrols along the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) since 2002 and it is held twice a year.
- it aims to keep this vital part of the Indian Ocean Region secure for commercial shipping, international trade, and conduct of legitimate maritime activities.

Vantika Agarwal has won the inaugural National women’s online chess championship title. the championship was organized by the All India Chess Federation (AICF) from July 26-28, 2021. Vantika Agarwal hails from Delhi.
- Vantika has scored 9.5 rounds from 11 rounds.
- Followed by Arpita Mukherjee of West Bengal and Tamil Nadu’s Sreeja Seshadri stood 2nd and 3rd place with 9 points and 8.5 points respectively.
- The All India Chess Federation is considering the performance of this online event for the selection of players for the Upcoming Asian individual championship and other events.

Former England Pace Bowler Mike Hendrick Passes Away at 72
The Former pacer from England Mr. Mike Hendrick has passed away at the age of 72 due to health-related issues. he was suffering from bowel and liver cancer. He represented England in 30 Tests and 22 ODI matches, besides this, he had also served as the first professional coach of Ireland. in domestic cricket, Hendrick also represented Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
- In 30 Tests, Hendrick received 87 Test wickets, and his best figures were 4/28. he also made the world record for most Test wickets without a five-wicket haul.
