Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated the new campus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at Panchkula. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was also present during the event.
- The NIFT Panchkula is the 17th campus in the country which will be developed as a world-class NIFT Campus.
- The 10.45-acre campus has been developed at a cost of Rs 133.16 crore in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Textiles and NIFT, Delhi.
- The NIFT campus in Panchkula will help in giving a major boost to the textile, handloom and cottage industries in the state and help in the overall development of the state.
