World Amateur Radio Day 2023 – Every year, World Amateur Radio Day is observed on April 18th to mark the establishment day of The International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) in 1925. it is an international confederation of national organisations that allows a forum for common matters of concern to amateur radio operators worldwide, and collectively represents matters to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
World Amateur Radio Day 2023 – History
- In 1924, a meeting of representatives from France, Great Britain, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Canada, and the United States was held.
- In 1925, the formation of the International Amateur Radio Union was ratified on April 18.
