World Sanskrit Day 2020
- Every year, the day of 3rd August is observed as World Sanskrit Day in India. this day is also known as Sanskrit Diwas. as per Hindu calendar, it is marked as Raksha Bandhan. this day reminds us about the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit and plays an important role in boosting its revival and maintenance.
History of World Sanskrit Day
- In 1969, The central govt took a decision to observe World Sanskrit Day. this day comes on Raksha Bandhan’s occasion and full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravana. The Sanskrit language is considered as one of the oldest languages in the world.
