World Students’ Day 2023: Every year, World Students’ Day is celebrated on October 15 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India and a celebrated aerospace scientist. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Dr Abdul Kalam worked as a scientist and administrator at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). He served in India’s civilian space and military missile programmes before acting as the 11th president of India. He is known as the Missile Man of India for his invaluable contributions towards developing India.

In 2010, World Students’ Day was first observed to honour the world’s greatest teacher’s contribution, Dr Abdul Kalam. The day aims to celebrate Abdul Kalam’s love for his students and acknowledge his efforts towards education and his students.
